What is GINA?
Grow and Identify Native Trees in your Area

According to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Philippines loses approximately 47,000 hectares of forest cover yearly. GINA is an innovative strategy to recover the lost canopy and preserve our biodiversity for a sustainable future.
GINA enables users to record and track the growth of both endemic and indigenous native trees. It also serves as a tool to identify them in one’s neighborhood using Artificial Intelligence (AI) with contributions made engaging and rewarding through gamification.
These crowdsourced efforts, facilitated by the GINA platform, promote the dispersal of native tree species, mimicking nature’s way of expanding their population and distribution.
